In times of hardship, you may have imagined your partner by your side at the hospital, their right to be there as a family member unquestioned. You may have imagined the family you’d build, the gardens you’d plant, the memories you’d make. 

And now, you’re navigating the deep uncertainty all of us in the queer community are feeling.

You’re worried your right to be married will be taken away with the stroke of a pen. You may be considering getting married quickly, at the courthouse, but you feel a sense of grief that it had to come to this. You know your love deserves a beautiful celebration, but it seems impossible to create that so quickly.

Here’s the good news: we’re here to help.

Together, Ecstatic Ceremonies and Marissa Solini Photography are teaming up to offer an inclusive, joyous celebration of your marriage for you and up to three guests on weekdays during the months of March and April 2025.

To us, nothing is more sacred than bold celebrations of queer joy: because we know that in living our truths out loud, we invite all those around us to join us in our liberation– to join us in our joy.

We understand the sense of urgency that many in our community feel to protect their legal right to marry, and we believe that all queer love deserves to be witnessed, uplifted, and celebrated– especially in times like these.

We have been friends and colleagues since 2020, when Marissa stepped in to photograph Anna’s wedding at the last minute. Since then, we have facilitated countless beautiful elopements together on the coast and in the woods!

We love nature walks, hot bagels, our awesome cats, and making absolute magic for our clients.

In your hour-long elopement, you’ll receive:

• A personalized wedding ceremony grounded in queer resilience and joy, located in a beautiful outdoor setting (or your own home) in the Portland, OR area

• The Ecstatic Ceremonies Vow Writing guide

• Marriage license filing on your behalf, along with support obtaining it from the county

• A beautiful photo package that includes:

  • At least 50 photos of your ceremony, marriage license signing, special moments with guests, and couple’s portraits centering your love and connection

  • Sneak peek photos within 7 days

  • Full gallery within two weeks

  • Photos delivered in a secure, private online gallery, where you’ll have access to download, print, or share photos

FAQ

Where will my elopement take place?

We have pre-selected a list of beautiful, accessible natural areas in the Portland area for you to choose from. If you would prefer to elope in your home or that of a loved one, just ask!

Can I bring flowers, decor, or treats?

Absolutely! We just ask that you follow leave-no-trace guidelines: whatever you pack in, please pack out at the end of your elopement.

Are you available to help us obtain our marriage license?

Yes! Officiant Anna will provide you with the Ecstatic Ceremonies Marriage License guide and is available to answer your questions throughout the process. Anna will also assist you in arranging witnesses for your elopement and ensuring that the license is filed quickly and accurately!
